Have you ever walked in a forest where giant trees are encrusted, and the floor carpeted, with the luminous greens of moss and experienced the hushed stillness where noise is absorbed and the juxtaposition of trunks hold a sense of mystery?
This workshop revolves around exploring in stitch the mystery of such a place.
The workshop can involve painted elements: layered fabric backgrounds with intensely stitched foregrounds giving depth to the work.
The design for this workshop will be based on the forests of the Escarpments of the Great Dividing Range near Point Lookout, New England National Park.
Suitable for all levels of experience.
A fabric kit, notes and designs will be available $25.
