This photography workshop is designed to get you out and about in an unfamiliar setting with an experienced and friendly tutor. The level of tuition is for raw beginners to advanced participants just looking for that edge.

The two day photography course will aim to provide a maximum amount of practical time shooting images with your camera of choice. You will get an essential set of skills to shoot on the run in the field and capture those fleeting moments that often get by before we’re ready. Create photos that require not only technical skills but open up your creativity to convey ideas and emotions that you may not normally consider possible.

Due to the large range of modern cameras we invite you to bring along any camera with the ability to set the aperture, shutter speed and ISO as these are the basic variables required to control your image capture. We have a
number of locations around the farm and nearby that will keep the photography exercises challenging and interesting. Moving subjects will also provide a chance to try techniques not normally offered in static environments.

The studio sessions will follow on from this with an explanation of the processing steps that take your precious photo and bringing in to life as a finished product either in digital or print form. A small amount of time will be spent using a few photo editing tools whilst also looking at the digital format of the image and how this can be handled and stored. At The Studio we also have professional printing machines that will allow you to walk away from the course with a finished print from your weekend workshop experience.

Michael Taylor has 12 years of broad experience capturing and producing images for events, publications, stock libraries, fine art and commercial purposes. His passion lies in being flexible and ready for any occasion.
Simplifying the process and stripping back the accessories allows you to focus more on what you’re photographing than the equipment you’re using. Getting the best image first go saves time when it comes to processing.
