$420.00 $360.00

Bookings need to be made before the end of February as we will only run this class if there are enough students. The tutor needs to book flights etc., so please book early, so we can run this class!

Natalya is an accomplished feltmaker who lives in Cyprus. She creates her own amazing bags, clothes and boots from felt. This 3 day sandal making workshop will teach you felting skills as well as sandal making with real soles. This is an exciting opportunity for anybody wanting to try a new skill in a unique, but functional way.

Natalya says:

I love to create outerwear. I also felt bags and cloths . I am glad to share my own knowledge and best practices. My main direction is accessories, bags, and most importantly – boots. When I started felting, my goal was to create not just beautiful shoes but resistant to wear as well. For this purpose, I developed my own technique. It is balance of classic shoemaker craftsmanship and felting. With my technique, you will be able to perform all the steps of creating shoe without shoemaker. Moreover, in result we will get orthopedic shoes.

Students choose from sandal styles and soles as shown.

Variations include:

 Handmade felt upper with coloured felt decoration, and applied, embroidered or beaded decoration.

 Open or closed toe.

 Closed heel, heel strap, or ankle strap.
